    When to vaccinate puppies

To protect dogs against certain diseases, it is vital that all puppies complete a course of vaccinations at an early age. The current guidelines from the World Small Animal Veterinary Association (2010) recommend that pups have 3 core vaccinations against distemper, adenovirus and parvovirus, all of which can be deadly to puppies and adult dogs.

Max

Max came to us from a disadvantaged life. He was four months old, he had been chained up in a cement court yard, with only an old armchair which he slept on. He was nervous and growled and snapped at everyone including children and very protective of his food. After a few months of caring for him and giving him a lot of love, he slowly started to trust us. He quickly made friends with our old German Shepherd Heidi whom he seems to treat as his Mother and also gets on well with our old dog Chippy whom we adopted from Tears. We thought Max was a white German Shepherd but have found out that he is in fact a white Swiss Shepherd. Over the last two years he has become a most lovable dog and he just loves children and they love him. He passed his Cainine Good Citizen and loves his Agility work which he is good at. He has not forgotten the old arm chair and has adopted one of the chairs in the lounge as his own!!! We do adore him!!!
